Toss Bangladesh chose to bowl vs Netherlands
Bangladesh opted to bowl after winning the toss against Netherlands in the first T20I in Sylhet. Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Rishad Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman, who were all rested for the third T20I against Pakistan, are back in Bangladesh's XI as they look to fine-tune their combination ahead of the Asia Cup.
Saif Hassan, who last played a T20I in October 2023, was also picked in the XI.
Netherlands, meanwhile, made five changes
Netherlands, meanwhile, made five changes to the side that faced Italy in their last match. Vikramjit Singh slotted back in at the top of the order, while Teja Nidamanuru was also back in the side. Spinners Tim Pringle, Shariz Ahmad and Daniel Doram also made the cut.
This is new territory for Netherlands, who have only played in Bangladesh during the 2014 T20 World Cup, but it will provide them a chance to gauge subcontinent conditions ahead of the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year.
